All you need is a mat and a bottle of water: We’ve got the top six free outdoor yoga classes to inspire you to try something new.

The outdoor classes work with all levels of yoga, so it doesn't matter if you're an experienced pro or new to the experience.

Every Sunday in June, July and August from 5 to 6:30 p.m., Bikram Yoga Dupont is offering a free class on the Meridian Hill Park lawn (2400 15th St. NW, Washington, D.C.) which is located between 15th and 16th streets and Euclid and W streets NW. Teachers come from a wide range of D.C. yoga studios like Yoga District, Tranquil Space, Georgetown Yoga, River’s Edge Yoga and others.

Every Monday in June and July from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m., you can join neighbors for an evening of free yoga in Chinatown Park (555 I St. NW) hosted by the Mayor’s Office for Asian and Pacific Islander Affairs (MOAPIA). The weekly yoga session is part of this summer’s Chinatown Park Start FRESH! Initiative, which aims to foster healthy lifestyles for Chinatown residents and neighbors with the help of MOAPIA and the D.C. Department of Parks and Recreation Light refreshments will be provided.

Formerly Pilates in the Park, this summer’s TriFit at Farragut Square Park gives you three weekdays to try three different fitness classes. On Tuesdays you could opt for yoga, on Wednesdays you could try barre and on Thursdays you could choose Pilates. The classes run from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. in Farragut Square Park (Connecticut Avenue & K Street NW) and last through September. If you arrive and check-in by 5:20, you can enter to win special prizes.

Every Monday at 7 a.m. in the Crystal City Water Park (1750 Crystal Drive, Arlington, Va.) you can calm your mind to the sound of the fountain's water. Follow the hashtag "SparkZen" to catch all the details.

Stretch to the sky while overlooking the Potomac river and the Arlington skyline with a grand view of the Georgetown waterfront. Every Saturday from 9:30 to 10:35 a.m. the open class takes place at the bottom of Wisconsin Avenue and K Street, to the right of the fountain.

For those extremely hot days, you can still exercise surrounded by plant-life. The Yoga Gathering at the Botanic Garden takes place every Saturday from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. at the National Garden (Conservatory West Gallery, 100 Maryland Ave. SW, Washington, D.C.) through August. Space is limited, so be sure to arrive early.

BONUS ROUND:

Join the masses on the national mall on September 25 for a free morning of yoga at the Sylvan Theater, off Independence Ave. and 15th St., near the Washington Monument. The D.C. Community of Yoga (DCCY) will bring together local yoga lovers for an acro yoga demonstration, a family class, an all-levels class and more. Check the Facebook event page for updates and more details.
