The Fairfax County Park Authority no longer follows the closing schedule of public schools during inclement weather. Instead, the Park Authority will follow Fairfax County Government closures. Unless Fairfax County closes all county facilities, RECenters and other park facilities will remain open for general use. Classes, programs and events will go on as planned at Park Authority facilities unless otherwise noted by FCPA.

Park Authority RECenters - System-wide Sustainability Plan The project team will look at potential future operational and facility improvements that effectively and efficiently help to meet the indoor recreation needs of Fairfax County residents.

Here you’ll find a variety of recreational opportunities for the whole family including pools, fitness rooms, group exercise classes, children’s programs and senior fitness offerings and personal training. Short-term and long-term memberships are available for individuals, couples, families and seniors, or you can pay-as-you-go with daily admission passes.

    Our programs for babies and preschoolers encourage the growth of creativity, coordination and social skills. Small group interaction and individualized development are stressed, but the major emphasis is always on FUN!

    Our camps are full of action and entertainment and cover almost every interest from acting to zoology. Camps are designed for children ages 3-15 and are held at RECenters and other sites throughout the county.

    Whether you’re an occasional visitor or a year-long membership holder, there’s a RECenter pass option to fit every lifestyle and every budget. All multi-visit passes are valid at any of our nine RECenters.

    This pay-as-you-go option gives you access to all the amenities that come with a Leisure Fitness Pass membership. This includes the fitness room, swimming pool and drop-in fitness classes, locker room, spa, sauna. There is an additional fee for racquetball/squash court rental where available. A good option if you visit only occasionally.

    With this pass, you get 25 admissions at any of nine RECenters. Passes expire two years from purchase date. This pass gives you all the advantages of membership every time you visit, but at a discounted rate.

    This pass allows you to attend any coded water exercise class listed in the Water Exercise section of Parktakes. The pass also includes the use of the fitness room, pool, spa, locker rooms, sauna, and group fitness drop-in classes. This pass is valid for four months from the date of purchase.

    This option gives you the greatest savings per visit and unlimited access for the number of months purchased to any of nine RECenters. This is the best deal for someone who works out multiple times per week. Membership includes swimming pool, fitness facilities, locker room, spa, sauna and other facilities such as gyms and racquetball courts, where available.
