The Mesilla Valley Women’s Weekend (Women’s Expo) presented by MountainView Regional Medical Center will be held at the Las Cruces Convention Center, February 6-8, 2015.

The event kicks off Friday at 11:30 a.m. with a luncheon honoring the “2015 Las Cruces Women of the Year, ” and activities continue into the evening with a “Cocktails and Couture Fashion Show” at 5p.m. produced by The Emerald Isle Boutique, Dancesport and Sight and Sound Entertainment.

The festivities continue on Saturday morning at the convention center with a variety of group fitness classes and health and lifestyle seminars. Fashion shows are schedule throughout the day and seminars will cover various topics focused on health related subjects including weight-loss, varicose veins, hip and knee replacement, women’s cardiology, internal medicine, diabetes, contraceptives, child rearing, breast feeding and other health related issues.

The group fitness classes begin with the “Sunrise Zumba Party” at 7:30 a.m. instructed by three of the best instructors in Las Cruces: Rudy Romero, Renee Padilla and Linda Perez. The high intensity Zumba will be followed by a blissful session of “Beginning Yoga” at 10 a.m. and a “Vinyasa Flow Yoga” class at 11 a.m. presented by Downtown Desert Yoga.

Expect fun and laughter Saturday evening with the comedy show, “Stand Up Las Cruces-A Comedy Experience” sponsored by Hotel Encanto de Las Cruces. Pam Bruno, Wendi Starling and Gene Merola, comedians from South Florida & West California take the stage for a night of laughs. Doors open at 6 p.m. for the 7 p.m. show. You must be 18 or older to attend.

Daily Expo admission is $6 but does not include admission to the fitness classes or comedy show. A weekend pass to all events (not including the luncheon) can be purchased for $25. Expo hours are 1 – 7 p.m. on Friday, 10 a.m.-6 p.m. on Saturday and 10 a.m.-4 p.m. on Sunday.
