The dance studio was newly renovated in spring 2009 as part of the Kimball Student Center. Located at the center of Southern Virginia University's campus, the dance studio is used for cheerleading and dance team practices, as well as the university sponsored group fitness classes listed below, which are open to all Southern Virginia faculty, staff and students.
BODYATTACK™ is a simple, high-intensity group exercise-to-music class that’s fully optioned to cater for all fitness levels. You’ll experience high-energy sports training moves for cardiovascular fitness, along with upper and lower body conditioning exercises. Be sure to bring a towel, good tennis shoes and lots of water! This will be one intense workout.
BODYATTACK LITE™ is a condensed version of the regular class with one less cardio peak.
BODYFLOW™ is the Yoga, Tai Chi and Pilates workout that leaves you feeling long, strong, centered and calm. It’s your personal time out from the stress and strains of daily life—a 55-minute group exercise-to-music class that enhances your physical and mental well-being. This is more relaxed than attack. You will not be wearing shoes, but please bring a yoga mat or large towel and a water bottle.
