Richard Bird has been helping individuals transform their lives for more than twenty years. He took his first Yoga class with a group of seniors at a health club in Virginia in 1987 . . . he was only 26. He quickly realized the seniors were not only much wiser but more flexible too! In 1991 Yoga became an almost daily part of his life after taking a three-week intensive with Yoga Pioneer Ana Forrest. He was hooked. He has studied, practiced and taught Iyengar, Ashtanga and Forrest Yoga. His classes and private instruction focus on helping individuals transform their lives by reconnecting through their body in a kind and compassionate way using Forrest Yoga and energetic healing techniques. He is a certified instructor of "A Course In Light" and the coauthor of The LiteBodies Process: Becoming Your Perfect Weight and Body Balance". When he's not practicing or teaching Yoga you can find him on the Golf course (his first love), playing Ice Hockey, Cycling or watching his favorite Football team . . . the Steelers!
