The 55+ Guide is published bimonthly and is filled with a variety of activities.

How to Register for 55+ Classes and Programs

Just pick out programs in the 55+ Guide and follow the registration instructions in the program description or listing.

For classes and programs in Jan. & Feb. that require advance registration, you can register starting at 10 a.m. on Tues., Jan. 3. Register online*, in-person at a senior center, calling 703-228-4747 or sending your registration to DPR Registration Office, 3700 S. Four Mile Run Drive, Arlington, VA 22206.

* Most travel and fitness programs, and many art programs, require advanced registration and payment. Look for the symbol that indicates classes available for advance sign-up.

To register online for FEE-BASED CLASSES and PROGRAMS:

  • Go to https://registration.arlingtonva.us/
  • Enter your login ID and Password. A new web page will appear. If this is your first time and you do not know your ID and password, please call 703-228-4744 or 703-228-4747.
  • Once logged in, click on the “55-Plus” menu banner up top and then click on “Register for Classes”.
  • Find the class or program you are interested in and click on it (on the green “+” sign). Then select “Add to Cart” at the bottom of the screen. Classes and programs with a red “X” have no space available but an individual can be added to the wait list depending on the class or program.
  • Select the name of the individual you are registering and continue.
  • You will have the option to “Continue Shopping” or “Proceed to Checkout.” Click on one of those choices.
  • When you are done, pay by credit card for your online registration. You MUST checkout even if you owe nothing (this includes free classes as well as wait list registrations).

To register in Person, by Phone or by Mail for FEE-BASED CLASSES and PROGRAMS:

  • In-Person at a senior center, at the Office of Senior Adult Programs at 300 N. Park Drive, Arlington, VA 22203
  • Phone by calling 703-228-4747
  • By mail to 3700 S. Four Mile Run Drive, Arlington, VA 22206 (be sure to include class # on the check).

How to Register for 55+ Trips

Just pick out programs in the 55+ Guide and follow the registration instructions in the 55+ Travel section.

To register in Person, by Phone or Online for 55+ Trips:

  • In-Person sign-up, is between 10am-noon on the 2nd Monday of each month (unless otherwise noted, due to holidays, inclement weather, or special circumstances). They take place at designated senior centers shown in the 55+ Guide.
  • Phone sign-up, begins at noon on next business day (after 2nd Monday in person and online sign-ups). Call 703-228-4748 and leave a message with your name, trip date, and destination and your meal choice if advertised. An individual is not signed up for a trip unless they receive a confirmation from the 55+ Travel Office.

To register online for 55+ TRIPS:

  • Online sign-up begins at noon on the 2nd Monday of each month (unless otherwise noted, due to holidays, inclement weather, or special circumstances).
  • Go to

  • Once logged in, click on the “55-Plus” menu banner up top and then click on “Register for Day Trips”.
  • Find the trip you are interested in and click on it (on the green “+” sign). Then select “Add to Cart” at the bottom of the screen. Trips with a red “X” have no space available. If the trip has reached the limit for online registration, you may call the Travel Office to inquire about space availability at 703-228-4748.
  • When you are done, pay by credit card for your online registration.
