Nora is awesome. My first time doing Pilates yoga on the ball. I've missed Sun & Moon and will be back to take one class this fall. Need to figure out which one works into my new schedule. So glad to be able to do yoga again!!! Diane Fernbacher, former Fairfax volunteer on Sunday mornings and 20 year yoga student :)

Especially considering this studio is in a strip mall, it's very nice. People are friendly, the place is very clean, instructors are super helpful. When in the smaller studio in the front it can occasionally be loud out in the parking lot, but that's totally something beyond their control. Prices are a little steep, as some have noted, but if you sign up for a group of classes and have to miss one, they absolutely will work with you to go on another day so you don't lose the value. They also allow drop-ins for a bit more per class, which is great for those of us with a difficult work schedule. The first class you ever take here is free, so you've nothing to lose by checking them out.

I decided to sign up for the all levels class on Tuesday mornings at 7:00 am. It is probably one of the best things I have decided to do. It's very hard for me to be committed to any sort of exercise class. I registered the Sunday before Tuesday's class for 7 week spring session. It was pretty inexpensive in comparison to other studios. You can also drop-in as well. So far, the class has been great. I could not decide if I wanted to take a Level 1 class or the all levels class. I'm very happy with the all levels class. The instructor seems well-trained and knows her stuff. This class has turned into something I look forward to every Tuesday. I enjoy it so much, I'm considering picking up another class once this session is over. The class is relatively small which I enjoy as well, about less than 10 people. I would definitely recommend this yoga studio to anyone in the area.

This is a great environment-the teachers and staff are all very friendly. If you're a beginner, I think this is a great place get started. It's very clean and there are no intimidation factors here. The style seems a bit gentle/slower paced than other studios I've gone to but the teachers seem to focus on form rather than speed so I've still learned, especially on improving posture for the poses. I e-mailed the studio to ask about finding more challenging classes and they were extremely responsive/professional about my concerns, so I really appreciated that! They also have a very flexible make-up policy so if you miss a class, you can go to any other class offered in the quarter. The instructors are all very knowledgeable and seem like they put a lot of effort into planning the routine for each class.

I was a beginner to Yoga back in January 2015. I had recently had a hysterectomy, I'm overweight, and my balance was way off. I took the gentle class Friday afternoon with Deb, and I feel so much better! My balance is getting better, my core is stronger and I'm starting to tone up! Unfortunately I moved to Palm Harbor FL, and it's been difficult to find a good studio. But even more difficult to find an instructor as fabulous as Deb! If I still lived in Northern VA, I would still be there.

I decided to do yoga even though I had never been that interested in it because it was a thing my mom and I could do together, and we both really enjoy it. It' something I look forward to every weekend. I highly recommend Carol. She's wonderful, she keeps a nice pace where its still relaxing but we still get a lot done. She's very friendly and tries to get to know everyone. I am going to continue to do my yoga classes here and would recommend it. It's not too expensive and they have a really flexible make up policy plus two locations where you can alternate. I absolutely recommend this place. If you want to try it, the first time is free. So I would do that if you aren't sure. It's true that it's not a hard core yoga place in that they correct every movement you make. It's more of a relaxing yoga where the main purpose is to make sure you're comfortable and relaxed. So it's nice at the beginning of the day or at the end of a long day.

You don't even realize what you have until you leave something. I have been a student at Sun & Moon Yoga Studio on and off for 3 years and have moved too far away to continue to come to this studio (traffic is awful) and that makes me very sad. Other studios can't compare to the tranquility you experience after a session. It is worth the price. I've had 3 different instructors and I appreciate all of them for different reasons. My favorite has been Melanie though, and I miss her!

I am currently enrolled here for winter session and will be going again in the Spring. I have taken yoga before, but this is a 'true yoga' studio in every sense of the word, and I can honestly say "YES there is a difference!!!".. I have learned so much from my instructor Rixie about the breath and positions! I am a serious Type A and very hyper. I always thought yoga was hokey. Not true.I am a convert and tell everyone to try it. You will love this place, quiet, convenient and great instructors!!

I am currently taking a pilates class here and it has been a great experience. The instructor is very knowledgable, and makes the class a lot of fun. She explains what all the weird pilates words or phrases actually mean so that it is possible to follow along. This is great, because every other class I have been to that had an instructor had them sit in the front "demonstrating" the exercise, which just doesn't work. There is a large selection of classes to attend, and the make up policy is really flexible.
