YOGA CLASS SHOULD I TAKE?

AS A NEW STUDENT, WHICH YOGA CLASS SHOULD I TAKE?

If you are brand new to yoga or coming back to your practice after a long absence or are a newer student with several classes under your belt, we recommend our 4 Week Beginners Series. These four consecutive classes will build upon each other, so you may graduate feeling comfortable attending appropriate yoga classes. Other class recommendations include Vinyasa Foundations for beginners yoga and Slow Flow Vinyasa if you are coming back to your practice after a long absence or require modifications. If you have a fair amount of experience, try our Vinyasa class. Yoga classes appropriate for all levels include our Yin Yoga, Stretch &Refresh, Yogalates, and Bootcamp. Our yoga studio offers classes for all experience and skill levels, so if you aren’t sure, feel free to ask one of our team members.

HOW DO I SIGN UP? DO I REGISTER IN ADVANCE?

We highly recommend signing up for a class in advance online. This can be done from the Schedule page. Students that make reservations will have a spot reserved until the start of the class time, afterward your spot may be given to someone on the waitlist. We do allow drop-ins as pre-registration is not required; however, drop-ins are accommodated only as space allows. If you have not pre-registered or are joining us for the first time, please arrive ten minutes before the class start time. As a new student, you qualify for the New Student Special: 30 Days of Unlimited Yoga for $30 (excludes the prenatal program). Click here to go to our pricing page and purchase your special.

WHAT IF I NEED TO CANCEL?

All class cancellations are done online. You can cancel your reservation online (same place you made your reservation) with your existing account. If you cancel or are unable to make a reservation, the class will not be deducted from your class package. Please do not call or email the studio for cancellations.

For prenatal & postnatal reservations, you are required to cancel your reservation at least four hours before class time, otherwise, the class will be deducted from your package as if you had attended.

WHAT SHOULD I WEAR?

Light-weight, comfortable clothing that allows you free range of motion are best. Yoga is practiced barefoot. Avoid perfumes and lotions.

DO YOU HAVE A PLACE WHERE I CAN CHANGE CLOTHING?

Yes, we have two restrooms that you are welcome to use and open cubbies for storage.

WHAT SHOULD I BRING?

If you have one, we recommend bringing a personal yoga mat. If you do not have a mat, don’t worry–they are available to rent for $2. Lastly, bring water.

WHAT ABOUT EATING AND DRINKING?

As with any exercise, refrain from eating two hours prior to class. You are welcome to hydrate with water as you like, but we suggest an empty bladder during class.

WHAT IF I AM RUNNING LATE?

We recommend arriving ten minutes early to settle in before class. If you arrive late, you must wait until centering is completed, before entering the studio space. For your safety, if you are more than 15 minutes late, you will not be permitted to attend class and doors may be locked.

WHAT IS YOGA STUDIO ETIQUETTE?

  • Cell phones: Please power down upon entering the studio. A great tip is to put your phone on “airplane mode, ” since the vibrate function is still disturbing.
  • Shoes: Remove upon entering. Leave in the lobby under benches.
  • Voice: Use inside, whispering voices as classes and wellness services are in session.
  • Personal Belongings: Utilize coat racks in the lobby and bring personal items into the studio and store in cubbies.
  • Yoga/Rental Mats and props: We have mat cleaner and towels available to wipe down your mat after class. Props are available for your use and we ask they be returned neatly.
